In a telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran and emphasized that the resolution of the conflict must be exclusively political and diplomatic. Putin's diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov announced that the Russian president will visit China at the end of August for a regional summit and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, meeting Xi Jinping at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.
