Pugang Pharmaceutical Company, known for its pseudo-therapeutic drugs, has recently registered the brand Royal Blood-Fresh in Russia, a supplement aimed at preventing thrombosis. This product is promoted as an effective remedy during long flights and is available on Air Koryo flights. Although popular in North Korea, Royal Blood-Fresh has been dismissed abroad as a non-scientific remedy. The company is also known for its deliveries of Kumdang-2 Injection, a drug that claims effectiveness against several diseases, including HIV and COVID-19.
Other North Korean firms, such as the Oriental Instant Medicine Development Center and Moksong Trading Company, have submitted applications to register similar products in Russia, highlighting a trend of expansion of North Korean medicines in the Russian market. Recently, Moscow and Pyongyang signed an agreement to expand cooperation in the health sector, suggesting a strengthening of the partnership in this area.
