Democrats from the House Oversight Committee publicly released 70 additional photographs on Thursday obtained from Jeffrey Epstein's estate, part of a pressure campaign to compel the Department of Justice to meet the Friday deadline for releasing essential documents related to the former sex offender. These photographs are part of a total of 95,000 images selectively published by Democrats, obtained through a subpoena.
Among the previous photographs are images of Epstein with influential figures such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Bill Gates. Rep. Robert Garcia stated that Democrats will continue to release documents to ensure transparency. Two of the recent photographs show Gates alongside a woman whose identity is protected. Text messages suggesting illegal activities have also been published. While Republicans have initiated their own investigation, it remains to be seen whether the release of the documents will satisfy transparency demands. Democrats emphasized that the images were not released out of context, and the faces of the women were redacted to protect potential victims.
