Protests in Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka, have erupted following the downing of an air force training plane that killed 31 people, most of them schoolchildren. The protesters demand a proper investigation and dispute the official death toll, accusing the authorities of trying to hide information. During the protests, police intervened with tear gas and batons, resulting in more than 50 injured. The head of the air force announced the setting up of an investigation committee to clarify the circumstances of the crash.
