On Friday, a group of protesters blocked the headquarters of the German company Rheinmetall in Berlin, prompting a police intervention. Seven activists glued themselves to the ground in front of the entrance, chanting messages such as "Rheinmetall out of Berlin" and "German weapons, German funds, killing people around the world."
The Rheinmetall company has become a major player in the defense industry, with shares rising after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The police intervened, extracting the protesters, some of whom suffered minor injuries and received medical care on site.
Investigations have been initiated for offenses such as trespassing and resisting authority. This protest comes two weeks after another demonstration at the Rheinmetall factory, where activists climbed the building and vandalized it.
