A European source has reported that a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodimir Zelensky could be organized in Hungary, favored by the friendly relations between Putin and Viktor Orban. Donald Trump is reported to have suggested to European leaders that Putin would agree to a separate meeting with Zelensky, followed by a trilateral one. The Kremlin, however, has not confirmed these talks, maintaining its opposition to direct negotiations with Zelensky, whom it does not consider legitimate. French President Macron is proposing a meeting in Europe, suggesting Geneva, but organizing it in Switzerland is unlikely because of the risks linked to Putin's arrest for war crimes.
