In a meeting with Italian bishops, Pope Leo XIV emphasized that artificial intelligence, biotechnologies and social media pose serious challenges to respect for human dignity. He said that these technologies can reduce the person to mere functions and algorithms, forgetting the human essence as relationship and mystery.
