Poland has rejected the United States' request to send one of its Patriot missile batteries to the Middle East, according to statements by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. He emphasized that the Patriot batteries are essential for protecting Polish airspace and NATO's eastern flank, stating that there is no intention to relocate them. The refusal was confirmed after the newspaper Rzeczpospolita reported that the U.S. had requested Warsaw to send a Patriot battery to the Middle East. Kosiniak-Kamysz reiterated that Poland's security is an absolute priority and that allies understand the importance of the tasks Poland has in this context. Additionally, Prime Minister Donald Tusk previously stated that Poland will not send troops to Iran, thus reinforcing the country's defense position in the face of external requests.
