The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, stated that his country has not received signals from Washington regarding the possibility of American troops withdrawn from Germany being relocated to Europe, instead of returning to the United States. Tusk responded to questions regarding the redistribution of soldiers on NATO's eastern flank.

The withdrawal of approximately 5,000 American soldiers from Germany was ordered by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, and it is estimated to take between six and twelve months. The Pentagon explained that this decision was made following a detailed analysis of the position of American forces in Europe and reflects the current requirements of the theater of operations. This withdrawal comes in a context of increased tensions between the U.S. and Europe, particularly regarding the war in Iran.
