The Polish government announced on Thursday that it has managed to block a cyber attack on the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), located near Warsaw. Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that hackers attempted to breach the center's security systems, but the attempt was stopped before it could succeed.

Although the attack was not extensive, authorities identified possible links to Iran regarding the source of the attack. Gawkowski assured that no data was leaked and that the center's operations continued without disruption, with the MARIA nuclear reactor operating under safe conditions. NCBJ is collaborating with national cybersecurity agencies to complete the investigation and verify the preliminary findings.
