On Tuesday morning, a small aircraft, a Cessna Caravan, crashed in the coastal region of Kwale in Kenya while heading to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. There were 12 people on board, all foreign tourists, and authorities fear they have died. The accident occurred in a hilly area, about 40 kilometers from Diani airstrip, and the plane burst into flames after the crash, leaving behind a charred wreck.
Witnesses reported a loud bang and found human remains at the scene. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority is investigating the cause of the accident, and the airline Mombasa Air Safari is cooperating with authorities to provide updates.
