Paul Mario Day was a leading figure in the new wave of British heavy metal, recruited by Steve Harris in 1975. Although he contributed to the band's beginnings, he left Iron Maiden after just 10 months due to criticism of his lack of charisma. The band More, which he founded, honored him, highlighting his impact on the rock scene.
