Pam Bondi, former Attorney General of the United States, has been appointed by President Donald Trump to an advisory committee dedicated to artificial intelligence policy, the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). The appointment comes after Trump dismissed her from the position of Attorney General last month due to frustrations related to the handling of investigation cases, including those related to Jeffrey Epstein.
The committee is led by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios and includes top directors from technology, such as Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang. Bondi will facilitate coordination between the government and the technology sector and will also hold an advisory role in the area of national infrastructure.
