Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, declared on Sunday, at an electoral rally in Békéscsaba, that Ukraine is trying to influence the elections in Hungary through money, oil blockades, and spies. Orbán emphasized that Hungary is the only country in Europe that openly rejects the war and accused Ukraine of interfering in the electoral campaign. He stated that Hungary will not support Ukraine militarily or financially and criticized President Zelensky's plans, asserting that they will not succeed in the elections on April 12. Orbán warned that a pro-Ukrainian government could involve Hungary in risky financial contracts, which could affect future generations. He also highlighted that Brussels is preparing a loan for Ukraine but expressed concern that member states will be forced to repay this loan, thus placing a financial burden on the shoulders of Hungarian citizens.
