As from the implementation of the EES, all non-EU citizens, including those from the UK, will be obliged to provide biometric data, such as fingerprints and facial images, in order to cross European borders. Those who refuse to provide this information will not be granted access to the EU. The system will be implemented gradually in all Member States.
