<p>Premier Christopher Luxon's bill aims to impose strict measures on social platforms such as X, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, with fines of up to €1 million for non-compliance. The initiative comes in response to parents' concerns about the negative impact of social networks on children. Luxon emphasizes the importance of protecting children and ensuring a safe environment on these platforms. It will need the support of coalition partners to be adopted.
