<p>The Institute of Geodynamics in Athens has recorded seven successive earthquakes with magnitudes above 4, followed by a 5.2 earthquake. Although the intensity has decreased, experts warn that the seismic activity is unprecedented in recorded history. More than 11,000 people have left the island and schools have been closed as a precaution.
