The Belgian capital's public prosecutor, Julien Moinil, has warned that the three armed attacks in the space of 24 hours, two in Clemenceau and one in Saint-Josse, are linked to drug outlets. He emphasized that the shootings were the result of territorial rivalries linked to drug trafficking. Moinil confirmed that another armed attack took place in the same area during the night.
