In a press conference alongside American Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked about the possibility of deploying Turkish forces in Gaza to oversee the ceasefire. Netanyahu stated that he would decide together with his partners, but clearly suggested that he opposes Turkey's involvement, holding firm opinions in this regard.

Relations between Israel and Turkey have significantly deteriorated following the conflict in Gaza, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticizing Israeli attacks. Turkey has proposed to participate in an international force to oversee the ceasefire, but Netanyahu seems to rule out such collaboration. Vice President Vance mentioned that Turkey could have a constructive role in the peace process, however, Netanyahu's reaction suggests that Ankara's involvement is unlikely.
