The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has ordered the Israeli army to "attack vigorously" against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to a statement from his office. These attacks occurred in the context of a three-week extension of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire, recently announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel reserves the right to strike perceived threats from Hezbollah. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that the Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of at least six people, four in the town of Yahmar Al-Shaqif and two in Safad al-Batikh. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that they eliminated "more than 15 terrorists" in southern Lebanon over the weekend.

These confrontations threaten an already fragile ceasefire and raise questions about the possibility of a historic meeting between Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House.
