The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, stated that his country is nearing the completion of its mission to eliminate all those involved in the attacks of October 7, 2023. In a statement from his office, Netanyahu mentioned the killing of Ezzedine al-Haddad, the commander of Hamas's military wing, in an airstrike in Gaza. He emphasized that every architect of the attack will be eliminated, adding that Israeli forces now control 60% of the territory of Gaza. Netanyahu also confirmed that the army has advanced into territory, despite the terms of the ceasefire mediated by the U.S., which stipulated a withdrawal along a yellow line. He stated that Israel has Hamas "in our hands" and that the mission is to ensure that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.
