In a statement from his office, Netanyahu mentioned the killing of Ezzedine al-Haddad, the commander of Hamas's military wing, in an airstrike in Gaza. He emphasized that every architect of the attack will be eliminated, adding that Israeli forces now control 60% of the territory of Gaza. Netanyahu also confirmed that the army has advanced into territory, despite the terms of the ceasefire mediated by the U.S., which stipulated a withdrawal along a yellow line. He stated that Israel has Hamas "in our hands" and that the mission is to ensure that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.
