Netanyahu is in Washington for talks with Trump, who hopes for a deal between Israel and Hamas this week. Indirect negotiations have begun in Doha aimed at a truce and the release of hostages. The proposal includes a 60-day truce, in which Hamas would release hostages in exchange for Palestinians detained in Israel. Netanyahu emphasized the importance of the meeting to bring home all the hostages amid a critical humanitarian situation in Gaza.
