Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he was not drawn by American President Donald Trump into the war against Iran, but rather, Trump had asked him to ensure that Iran would not obtain nuclear weapons. In a press conference, Netanyahu mentioned a discussion he had with Trump at his residence in Mar-a-Lago, in which the American president emphasized the importance of preventing Iran from developing nuclear bombs.

Additionally, the minister from Oman, a mediator in the negotiations between Washington and Tehran, stated that the parties were close to reaching a significant agreement on the Iranian nuclear program. In contrast, the UK national security advisor stated that Iran's proposals could have avoided an armed conflict. Furthermore, the head of the US National Counterterrorism Center, Joseph Kent, resigned, claiming that the war was triggered by Israeli pressures, emphasizing that Iran does not pose an imminent threat to the US.
