The Nestlé company announced the immediate dismissal of CEO Laurent Freixe due to an undeclared romantic relationship with a subordinate, which violated professional conduct rules. Freixe, appointed CEO in September 2024, has been replaced by Philipp Navratil. The decision of the Board of Directors underscores the importance of values and good governance practices within the company, which is facing challenges in relaunching growth.
