Giuseppe Palermo, known as 'Peppe', was detained in Bogota, Colombia, following an international operation coordinated with Italian and British authorities and Europol. He was wanted on an Interpol red notice and is accused of managing cocaine shipments and illegal routes to Europe. 'Ndrangheta, the organization he is part of, is one of the most powerful criminal groups in Italy, responsible for a significant increase in cocaine production in 2023.
