On Tuesday, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte addressed the issue of drone incursions in Romania, highlighting the Alliance's efforts to prevent such incidents. Rutte mentioned that NATO is working closely with Ukraine, which has been facing similar threats for nearly four years. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the eastern flank of the Alliance, from the Black Sea to the far north, and assured that rapid progress is being made in this regard.
An essential part of the strategy includes improving capabilities to counter drone threats, both through the development of own drones and through access to advanced anti-drone defense technology. Rutte confirmed that NATO is receiving assistance from Ukraine in these efforts.
