NATO reacted through spokesperson Allison Hart after Iran launched a ballistic missile aimed at Turkey. Alliance officials condemned this attack, emphasizing that "the targeting of Turkey by Iran" is unacceptable.

NATO reaffirmed that its deterrence and defense posture remains strong, including in the area of air defense and missile defense. Following the incident, the Iranian missile, which crossed the airspaces of Iraq and Syria, was neutralized by NATO's air defense and missile defense units deployed in the eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.

The Alliance emphasized its strong support for all allies, including Turkey, in the face of Iranian attacks.
