NASA has requested the crew aboard the ISS to return to normal operations, after Roscosmos suspended repairs in the Zvezda module due to an air leak.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has announced that the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) can return to normal activities, after the sheltering procedures caused by an air leak in the Russian module Zvezda have been completed. Roscosmos suspended repair efforts inside the transfer tunnel of the Zvezda module, known as PrK, on Friday to assess the data and recent measurements.

Following this decision, NASA instructed the crew members in the SpaceX Dragon capsule to conclude the shelter procedures and return to planned operations. Initially, the astronauts were instructed to take shelter in Dragon as a precautionary measure after new air leaks were detected. NASA and Roscosmos are collaborating to determine the cause of the cracks in the Zvezda module, and Roscosmos has initiated a more extensive repair operation following the emergence of new leaks. The cracks have been closely monitored, and NASA emphasized the importance of operational risk reduction measures.
