OpenAI is recruiting the creator of OpenClaw to develop the next generation of personal agents

Peter Steinberger, the creator of the open-source software OpenClaw, joins the OpenAI team to coordinate the development of the new generation of personal intelligent agents. The announcement was made by CEO Sam Altman, who emphasized that multi-agent technology will become a central pillar of OpenAI's products, with the company committing to continue supporting OpenClaw as an open project.

This move comes amid the popularity of the Moltbook network, a digital space where AI agents (known as "moltbots") interact autonomously. Although the platform has generated numerous conspiracy theories in the online environment, technical analyses show that the system functions as an experimental digital ecosystem, where human users can connect their own AI models to perform automated tasks and communicate with each other.
