On Monday, several oil refineries in Spain, including those operated by Moeve, were shut down due to a major power outage. Moeve, the second-largest operator on the Iberian peninsula and owned by the Mubadala fund and Carlyle Group, confirmed the shutdown of operations at both of its refineries. This was triggered by a fault that affected power supplies across the region.
