The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that illegal migrants who register for voluntary departure by December 31 will benefit from a free flight to their home country and a sum of $3,000. This initiative is part of a program launched in May, which previously offered $1,000 to illegal migrants who organized their departure through a mobile application for 'self-deportation'.

The government has intensified the promotion of this program, encouraging illegal migrants to accept the offer to return home during the holiday season. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized that those who do not take advantage of this opportunity will be found and arrested.
