MEP Petri Savarmaa has launched a petition to ask the head of the European Parliament to initiate a new attempt to deprive Hungary of its voting rights in the EU Council, thus preventing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán from taking on the role of interim president of the Council. The plan appears to have several obstacles, including its legal feasibility.
