The four-time world champion, Max Verstappen, was the fastest on the Formula 1 circuit in Bahrain during the first pre-season test, setting the best time of the day. In this test, which is part of two sessions of three days each, all 11 teams in Formula 1 participated, after Williams' absence from the event in Barcelona.

Verstappen led the entire session, while other drivers, such as Lewis Hamilton, had difficult moments, including a spin. Franco Colapinto from Alpine had technical issues, causing the red flag to be waved. In the final standings, Verstappen was followed by Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and George Russell (Mercedes).

Verstappen also emphasized that he prefers to be surrounded by ordinary people and to lead a simple life outside of competition, focusing on performance and his loved ones in his life.
