Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has confirmed he will stay with Red Bull, revealing he never intended to leave. His fourth-place finish in the Belgian Grand Prix secured him a stable position in the world championship. Team adviser Helmut Marko also confirmed that Verstappen will still drive for Red Bull in 2026, quashing speculation of a move to Mercedes. Although he has a contract until 2028, Verstappen admitted that the current season is not going according to expectations.
