A supposed large-scale cyber attack may have compromised a state-managed supercomputer in China, from which a hacker allegedly extracted over 10 petabytes of sensitive data, including military information and advanced technology projects.

According to security experts, the breach is said to have occurred at the National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin and may have taken place over several months without being detected. Samples of the data appearing online suggest that the information comes from strategic areas such as defense, aerospace, and scientific research, however, the authenticity of the leak has not been officially confirmed by Chinese authorities.
