Kazunori Yokoi, a 61-year-old man from the Nishikyo district of Kyoto, Japan, was arrested after being accused of terrorizing his neighbors for nearly a decade with rock music played at extremely high volume and an amplified electric guitar. Over the years, residents filed numerous complaints, claiming that the constant noise caused them health problems, including depression and sleep disorders.

The police repeatedly warned Yokoi, but he continued to play music 24 hours a day, with sound levels measured between 80 and 90 decibels. Authorities confiscated 76 items from his home, including guitars and amplifiers.

Although the man admitted to making the noise, he denied that his actions caused health problems for his neighbors. His case will be reviewed by the court.
