The Massachusetts prosecutor announced the arrest of Andrew Emerald, 45 years old, accused of making repeated death threats against American President Donald Trump. Between June and July 2025, Emerald posted eight messages in which he threatened to kill or harm Trump, calling him a 'monster' and promising to set his residence, Mar-a-Lago in Florida, on fire.
Emerald is charged with transmitting threatening communications in multiple states, a crime that can be punished with up to five years in prison and a fine of $250,000. His threats included statements such as putting Trump in a 'body bag' and referring to him as a 'Russian agent.'
