Emmanuel Macron will pay an official visit to Greenland on June 15 at the invitation of Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The visit comes as US President Donald Trump has expressed interest in annexing Greenland. Discussions will focus on North Atlantic security, climate change, energy transition and critical mineral resources. Macron will be the first foreign leader to visit the island after Trump's threats.
