French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Ukraine and Europeans must be involved in negotiations that affect their destiny, in the context of the planned meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. During a press conference at the MED9 Euro-Mediterranean summit in Portorož, Macron emphasized that discussions about Ukraine's fate require the presence of Ukrainians, and Europeans must be included in discussions regarding their security. He stated that a lasting peace must respect international law and ensure conditions of stability. Macron reaffirmed ongoing support for Ukraine and announced a meeting of countries supporting Ukraine, which will also include President Volodymyr Zelensky, highlighting France's commitment to the nation attacked by Russia.
