Emmanuel Macron: "A resumption of dialogue with Putin is not urgent. The dialogue must be prepared among Europeans."

At the end of an informal European summit in Belgium, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that dialogue with Moscow must be prepared carefully, emphasizing that it is not a matter of days.

He highlighted the importance of collaboration among European partners to establish what they want to ask during discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Macron mentioned that France's priorities include security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as issues related to the prosperity and security architecture of Europe. He also insisted on the necessity for the dialogue to be well organized and to involve a limited number of interlocutors, to ensure its effectiveness.
