The Belarusian leader, Alexander Lukashenko, emphasized in an interview with the news agency BelTA that he discussed this issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who agreed that Belarus's entry into the war is unacceptable.

"Yes, he (Putin) says that we understand that Belarus's entry into the war, in any capacity, is unacceptable," stated the President of Belarus.

Lukashenko mentioned the military vulnerability of Belarus and warned that a Ukrainian attack would expose his country "like an open palm in front of the Ukrainian army."

He also emphasized that the expansion of the front line could attract NATO intervention, turning the conflict into a war between Belarus, Russia, and NATO.

He also apologized for his previous criticisms of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, acknowledging that he may have been too harsh in his comments.
