Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in eastern Indonesia has erupted, generating an 18,000-meter ash column. Authorities report no damage or casualties so far and Bali International Airport is operating normally. The volcano's activity is very high and residents in the 6-kilometer zone are advised to avoid the area and wear masks. Last month, a similar eruption canceled flights to Bali and evacuated communities. Indonesia lies on the Pacific's "Ring of Fire", where volcanic activity is frequent.
