The Lebanese government has decided to notify the UN Security Council following the intensification of Israeli attacks, which have resulted in the deaths of at least five people and major destruction in southern Lebanon. Authorities accuse Israel of actions that threaten the sovereignty of the country, citing the bombing of bridges and the forced displacement of residents. The Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, highlighted the destruction caused by the advance of Israeli troops on Lebanese territory. Since the beginning of the conflict with Hezbollah on March 2, the death toll has reached 1,116, including 121 children, and over 3,000 people have been injured.
In this context, Hezbollah has claimed attacks on Israeli forces, and Israel has reported losses among its soldiers. Internal tensions in Lebanon are escalating, with pro-Iran protests and government boycotts, while the Committee for the Protection of Journalists is calling for an investigation into the killing of a journalist affiliated with Hezbollah.
