The license granted to Starlink comes as a solution to the severe crisis of telecommunications and electricity infrastructure in Lebanon, affected by a collapsing economy. The Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, announced the decision, which follows discussions between Elon Musk and the Lebanese president, Joseph Aoun. This measure aims to reduce financial losses and combat corruption in the energy sector.
