Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has held talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on relations with the US and the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.

Sergey Lavrov, in China for a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, discussed with Wang Yi bilateral relations with the United States and prospects for ending the war in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of close coordination between Russia and China on the international stage, including in organizations such as the UN, CSOs and BRICS. Other topics, such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation on the Korean Peninsula, were also discussed.
