The landslide occurred in Liangshui village in Zhenxiong Canton. More than 200 nearby residents have been evacuated and search operations involve 10 excavators, 33 fire engines and more than 200 rescuers. Landslides are common in the mountains of southwest China, especially after periods of rainfall.
