Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the progress of negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine is influenced by Kiev's attitude, the effectiveness of US mediation and conditions on the ground. Although Donald Trump has urged both sides to negotiate a ceasefire, Russia continues to demand the ceding of territory by Ukraine, which is considered unacceptable by the Ukrainian authorities. Russia has advanced into the regions of Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk, while Turkey has offered to host future negotiations.
