French President Emmanuel Macron has raised the possibility of deploying nuclear-armed aircraft to Europe, but the Kremlin, through spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said this would not contribute to security, predictability or stability. Russia emphasizes the need for coordinated efforts between Russia, the US and European nuclear-armed countries to create a strategic security architecture in Europe. It also discusses the extension of French nuclear deterrence in the context of the tensions generated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
