North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has authorized 1,000 troops to help clear mines in the Kursk region, recently affected by clashes with Ukrainian troops. Another 5,000 North Korean military workers will also help rebuild destroyed infrastructure. These measures are part of the strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea, which provides for mutual assistance. Sergei Shigu underlined the importance of these relations and announced the restoration of rail and air communications with North Korea.
