In an emotional speech, Kim Jong-un promised that he would build a monument in the capital of North Korea for his soldiers who died in the war in Ukraine. During the meeting with the grieving families, he expressed compassion and assured that the state would support the children of the fallen soldiers. Although Pyongyang has not confirmed the exact number of deceased soldiers, estimates suggest that around 600 have died, and North Korea has sent over 10,000 soldiers to fight alongside Russia. Kim also glorified the suicide tactics of his troops in the confrontations in Ukraine.
